For me "The Rubaiyat of Omar khayyam "has been a constant companion.Although it preaches a hedonistic philosophy, the book is littered with witticism on the fleeting nature of life and to make the most of this transient life by living every day to the fullest,CARPE DIEM "

Swami Vivekananda Inspiring thoughtsHe is so .. so relevant today. Today when we think religion is only keeping fast. When the youth is brain washed to achieve personal success. When all of us are always down and unhappy, when we lack enthusiasm and motivation for life. He is the man who taught us YOGA the connection between we and our soul

Recently I read great works of Leo Tolstoy. A short story collection. In all the stories the message is never to lose faith in humanity which will lead one to divinity. Indeed a great collection

My favourite book is The Old Man and the Sea. Santiago's tough time in the sea all alone catching a marlin is very inspiring. The book teaches you how to face adversities in life boldly. I love the line 'man can be destroyed but not defeated'.
