Unniyappam is a snack of Kerala. Unniyappam is a small round made from rice, jaggery, banana, roasted coconut pieces, roasted sesame seeds and cardamom powder fried in oil. IIn Malayalam, ‘unni’ means tiny and ‘appam’ means rice cake. in uthram star-lord ayyappan bornt Ayyapans one of the favorite food is Unni appam. the Unniyappam given as prasadam in sabarimala.
