It was in sub zero temperatures in the month of February this year when I was scouting for some frozen locales in Ladakh. This particular landscape was so inviting that I had no hesitation in taking the risk of standing on the edge to click this photo.

I left the SUV once the road ended and started climbing on the hill. The gradient was moderate but lack of practice soon left me panting.Although it was February yet the river had melted rapidly-pitfalls of global warming.I casually glanced on my left and saw Zanskar river down below where the snow had not fully melted but had formed a small stream.

I was travelling somewhere deep inside Ladakh, struggling to keep the 4x4 SUV steady on that gravel track barely wide enough to accommodate the width of my vehicle. On my one side was a gorge deep down below and the towering mighty mountains on the other side. Suddenly I spotted this huge flat iceberg, a small part of which had broken off. Posted here for viewing and critical appraisal.

Visited Mansar lake in Jammu in the last week of February and was surprised to see the number of fish in the lake. Just as I was readying my camera to capture sunrise on the lake, this one appeared from nowhere in the water and lunged upwards with mouth wide open in the hope that we would throw some feed. Was lucky to capture this split second shot giving a 3D impression.

I had specially requested for a window seat while flying to Jammu and kept my camera in ready to shoot mode. While descending, the aeroplane was at this particular angle offering a unique view where the Holy Mansar Lake looked like a blue apple. I lost no time in clicking this once in a lifetime photo.
